Bowsers was engaged by Built to repair damaged areas of vermiculite fire spray and fire seal the new electrical services being installed during the refurbishment of the 20 storey A-Grade office and retail building at 55 Market Street, Sydney. In addition, the mechanical services subcontractor, D&E Air Conditioning, contracted Bowsers to fire rate the air conditioning ductwork and associated services.
Scope of works included application of vermiculite fire spray to structural steel elements and ductwork as well as fire rating to the numerous electrical and hydraulic services as the building was refurbished.
Bowsers had multiple fire spray teams on site to complete works on both the structural steel and ductwork, enabling both clients to meet their programs.
Working with multiple clients on the one site required exceptional supervision, co-ordination and prioritising of works to ensure all needs could be met for all clients. This proved challenging in some cases but, was ultimately managed successfully.
Bowsers completed all works on time as required and our clients were pleased with the outcomes.
