171 Clarence Street is a 12 level office tower located amongst some of Sydney’s busiest retail, dining and transport locations. Bowsers was engaged to conduct the repairs and replacement of fire dampers throughout this central Sydney premise.
Following an initial assessment Bowsers rectified existing fire dampers and replaced other fire dampers. Additionally, they removed asbestos discovered in the original duct work.
In addition to assessing, repairing and replacing the fire dampers, Bowsers’ experienced supervisors showcased their exceptional project management skills by coordinating the asbestos removal in a way that was cost effective and had minimal impact on the building’s occupants.
Bowsers’ repair work could not impede on any of the 93 tenants occupying this building. The unexpected discovery of asbestos required the expertise of a qualified, asbestos removal contractor to help facilitate the fire damper replacements throughout the building.
All fire dampers on site are now fully compliant and certified, satisfying the building owners and managers. It was Bowsers’ meticulous planning and project management skills which impressed the client and ensured a successful project outcome.
