Bowsers was engaged by CAMS to inspect, repair and replace fire dampers in a Chatswood based commercial premise.
Bowsers was responsible for the inspection and assessment of existing fire dampers, pricing of any work required to make the fire dampers compliant, safe removal of asbestos installed around existing fire dampers and finally the repair and replacement of fire dampers to bring them up to compliance.
Bowsers has a strong relationship with asbestos removal contractors and was able to secure and co-ordinate cost effective asbestos removal familiar with the project objectives. This ensured this aspect of the work was carried out smoothly and efficiently. Bowsers was then able to safely access these work areas to bring the fire dampers up to compliance.
The presence of asbestos is always challenging and must be safely removed by a licenced contractor. With many stakeholders involved, carefully coordinated communication by Bowsers was essential to ensure the works could be undertaken in a manner that suited the multiple businesses on site, while also achieving the overall goal of fire damper compliance.
Bowsers’ service offering covers every phase of asset delivery and life cycle for various sectors.
