Having successfully completed over 60 bushfire protection projects, including 19 previous collaborations with Montgomery Homes, Bowsers was once again entrusted to provide a robust, compliant, and expertly installed BAL–FZ bushfire protection system for a new residential home in East Kurrajong.

Promat’s Siniat Weather Defence 2 (WD2) was selected to achieve full compliance with the highest BAL–FZ standard, protecting the home against flame contact, radiant heat exceeding 40kW/m2, and ember attack. Its durable gypsum core and purple water-resistant liner provides comprehensive coverage across the 410 sqm roof, fascia, eaves and veranda, ensuring robust bushfire protection.
Adverse weather conditions presented challenges throughout the project. In addition, to maintain compliance and ensure board stability, the eaves were framed in a specialised manner, allowing the board to sit securely under the fascia.
Thanks to Bowsers’ highly skilled installation team, with over 15 years of experience and certified installation guarantees, the project was delivered seamlessly. Careful project scheduling and coordination ensured that wet weather disruptions were effectively managed, allowing completion within the month.
The East Kurrajong residence was successfully completed on time and within budget, fully meeting the most stringent BAL–FZ bushfire protection requirements. Following the project’s success, Bowsers has been awarded two additional projects with Montgomery Homes, a strong testament to our proven expertise, reliability, and trusted reputation within the industry.
