Sutherland Hospital admits 28,000 patients each year. Following an onsite audit, Bowsers completed maintenance and repairs to over 70 fire dampers throughout the busy and fully operating Sutherland Hospital.

Fire damper maintenance repairs was conducted to over 70 fire dampers throughout Sutherland Hospital.
Repair works covered multiple hospital departments including mental health wards and operating theatres. All maintenance works had to be completed within a live, sensitive hospital environment with minimal disruption and 100% safety to staff and patients. Additionally, ensuring site cleanliness and hygiene was critical.
Bowsers is highly experienced in working within live hospital environments where infection/dust control, noise abatement, acoustic isolation, patient privacy and safety of patients and staff is critical. There was a strong emphasis during this project on client communication. Bowsers’ kept everyone informed of upcoming repair works and worked closely with the hospital’s maintenance team to ensure the project ran smoothly.
Bowsers familiarity and experience of working in a live healthcare facility was invaluable. The project was successfully completed over a 2 month window and the fire dampers are compliant.
